The programme will feature Randall Thompson’s setting of seven Robert Frost poems, "Frostiana", and a selection of Aaron Copland’s "Old American Songs", as well as traditional and contemporary settings of hymns from the "Sacred Harp"; also folksongs, some with a modern twist, including Stephen Foster’s "Gentle Annie", and two settings by Carol Barnett, "Red River Valley" and "Cindy".
